"Gift of the Tao Qigong by a mountain stream"
What is Qigong?
  • Qigong is a form of Chinese movement meditation originating several thousand years ago in ancient China.

  • Qi is the Chinese term for life energy, a subtle force that underlies all things. While gong is short for gong-fu meaning time and effort.

  • The word Qigong literally means: the study of energy through time and effort.

  • Grandmaster Michael Lomax, creator of Gift of the Tao Qigong writes in his book A Light Warrior's Guide to High Level Energy Healing:

"Qigong is more than simply the study of energy. In addition to being the single most profound form of preventative and healing medicine, the practice of Qigong is a way of life, a way of attaining our highest spiritual goals, a way of attaining knowledge of who we really are and what we are supposed to be doing on this earth"

  • Qigong is a timeless art that transcends linear understanding. Only through practice can one begin to understand the true nature of Qigong and what it can accomplish

Why cultivate Qi?
  • Qi is fundamental to our entire existence. It is the life energy thats keeps us alive.

  • The entire theory of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) revolves around the notion of balancing a client's Qi to promote health and wellbeing.

  • By practicing Qigong, one learns to directly experience Qi for themselves.

  • The continued practice of Qigong naturally corrects and balances one's Qi leading to increased health and awareness.

What is Qi?
  • Qi goes beyond any form of rational or linear explanation. Each person experiences Qi in their own way.

  • Qi can be very subtle and at other times very intense. Qi is not something that can be understood through reading books or watching a video.

  • Only by experiencing Qigong firsthand can one begin to understand the concept of Qi.
