Qigong Movements
"Gathering Qi in the forest"
-
A common theme amongst many Qigong styles are moves that mimic the natural patterns of nature
-
There are static postures that resemble trees to dynamic moves that resemble the movements of animals such as tigers or cranes
-
This idea of copying patterns of nature began with the Taoist Shamanic origins of Qigong. Ancient Taoists viewed nature as in sync with the natural energetics of the world
-
In a similar way of moving an antenna around to find a better radio signal, aligning one's body with natural energy patterns allows us to tune into higher level energetics for increased health and awareness
Gift of the Tao Qigong
-
Gift of the Tao Qigong is a system of Qigong movements developed by Grandmaster Michael Lomax, Lineage Holder of the Stillness Movement (Jing Dong Gong) Lineage
-
These movements are unique in that they were created by directly observing energetic patterns in higher levels of awareness
-
This bypasses the need to mimic nature as these movements go to the source and directly imitate energetic patterns themselves
-
The result is a very unique and powerful form of Qigong
-
Each movement in the series represents a particular energetic pattern which induces a certain state of awareness in the practitioner
-
These movements act like stepping stones, with each new movement taking the practitioner to a higher state of awareness
-
The complete set of Gift of the Tao Qigong works out the entire energy-body and helps raise it to a higher energetic frequency for improved health and awareness
